It is necessary to establish a platform to save Ukraine from the collapse of statehood and external administration. Such a proposal was made by the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, on 14 July.
“I am sure that the time has come to establish an international Ukrainian platform to save Ukraine from the collapse of its statehood, the trampling of its sovereignty by Western curators and external governance. Russians and Ukrainians are one people, and we must not leave our brothers alone with the usurpers,” Konstantinov was quoted as saying.
Konstantinov believes that since 2014, power in Ukraine has been completely seized by anti-Russian forces implementing a project to create a Ukrainian “anti-Russia.”
According to the head of the parliament of the peninsula, the article of Russian President Vladimir Putin “On the historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians” shows and Russia’s readiness to support the fraternal Ukrainian people.
“Now the main question is how ready the Ukrainian society is for immediate and decisive action?” – Konstantinov stressed.
On July 12, the Russian leader’s article “On the historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians” was published on the Kremlin website. In it, Putin noted, among other things, that in Ukraine today we are talking about a forced change of national identity. The president mentioned the law on the indigenous peoples of Ukraine adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.
At the same time, the Russian leader called the “wall” between the two sides a tragedy. In his opinion, this situation arose because of “our own mistakes made in different periods.”
The next day, speaking about his article on Ukraine, Putin noted the intensification of the anti-Russia project. According to him, this cannot but cause concern.
At the same time, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky spoke about his plans to read Putin’s article and give an answer. Zelenskyy also supported the Russian leader’s decision to publish the article not only in Russian, but also in Ukrainian. The politician said that he was ready to discuss some points from the article at a personal meeting with the Russian president.
