In Texas, woman opens fire over dissatisfaction with manicure prices

In Texas, a woman opened fire on the owner of a nail salon because she was not satisfied with the cost of manicures and pedicures. It was reported on Monday, June 7, by NBC News.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a woman named Joana Vara and her sister got a manicure and pedicure at Katy Nails salon in Houston on May 29 before arguing with the owner over their dissatisfaction with the price of the services.

According to police, Vara left her arguing sister for a while and then returned. The salon owner tried to push her out, after which Vara opened fire on him with a gun. Both women fled after the incident.

The saloon owner was taken to the hospital with a chest wound. According to the sheriff’s statement, the victim is in critical but stable condition.

The offender was charged and booked into the Harris County jail. The court also ordered Joana Ware to pay a $75,000 fine. Her sister was initially arrested for evading responsibility but was later released.
