Instagram launched an inappropriate content filter

Instagram blog posted about the launch of the new “Inappropriate Content Filter” feature. It has already become available to users with the update of the mobile application.

This filter will control what photos and videos you see in the recommendations section. It can limit the display of content with offensive or inappropriate content. Moreover, such content may fully meet the site rules, but be unpleasant for a particular user.

For example, it could be publications with sexual overtones, scenes of violence, information about weapons or even drugs.

To turn on the filter, go to “Settings,” then to “Account” and select “Inappropriate Content Filter. You’ll have a choice of “Limit” and “Limit More Content.” The second will allow you to filter your feed posts more thoroughly.

If these settings aren’t available to you yet, wait for an update to the Instagram app.
