Israel manufactures lung ventilators on a rocket conveyor

Due to a shortage of breathing apparatuses, the Israeli Defense Ministry, together with the medical equipment firm Inovytec and the IAI aerospace company, has set up their production on the conveyor belt for the production of missiles.

In preparation for the rapid spread of coronavirus, Israel rebuilt a missile production line for the manufacture of ventilators. 30 ventilators have already been handed over to the Ministry of Health, a representative of the Ministry of Defense confirmed on Wednesday, April 1.

The Directorate of Production and Procurement (DOPP) and the DDR&D at IMoD, in collaboration with medical company, Inovytec, and IAI, have completed the establishment of a first-of-its-kind production line for Ventway Sparrow ventilators. As a result, the first 30 ventilators have already been delivered to the Ministry of Health.
