Japanese government approved an additional budget of 25.69 trillion yen ($237 billion) to support the economy amid the Coronavirus pandemic. This was announced on Monday, April 20, the agency Kyodo.
The publication notes that this budget includes cash benefits for Japanese citizens in the amount of 100 thousand yen ($ 930), which will begin to be paid as part of government financial support in May.
Also, each family, whose income has fallen sharply amid the spread of coronavirus, will receive $2785. The total budget allocated to combat the economic impact of COVID-19 was 117.1 trillion yen (about $1.09 trillion).
