Jeff Bezos resigned as CEO of Amazon

Amazon Corporation founder Jeff Bezos has resigned as CEO of the retailer, to be replaced by the former head of Web Services Andy Jesse. It was reported by the BBC on Monday, July 5.

It is specified that Bezos will remain the chairman of the board of the company.

The fact that the entrepreneur is going to leave the position, he announced at the end of May, during the annual meeting of Amazon shareholders.

Bezos noted that he intends to devote more time to his projects Bezos Earth Fund to combat climate change, the space company Blue Origin, as well as the Washington Post publishing house and Amazon Day 1 Fund.
