Kremlin publishes text of joint statement on Nagorno-Karabakh

The statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh was published on the Kremlin website on November 10.

“A complete cease-fire and all hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone are announced from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020. The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, hereinafter referred to as the Parties, stop at their positions,” the first paragraph of the statement reads.

It is emphasized that a Russian peacekeeping contingent of 1960 servicemen with small arms, 90 armored personnel carriers, 380 vehicles and special equipment is deployed along the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor.

The Russian peacekeepers are being deployed in parallel with the withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces.
