The Italian company Automobili Lamborghini will launch the production of surgical masks for the local hospital in several converted workshops in its factory near Bologna. It will be launched on Tuesday, March 31, according to the company’s website.
In total, the company plans to produce up to 1 thousand masks per day. The production will be opened at a factory in Sant’Agata Bologna in the Emilia Romagna region, where the epidemic is currently most severe.
“In an emergency situation, we believe it is necessary to make a concrete contribution to the common cause. Victory in this war will come only as a result of working together and supporting those who daily stand in the front line of this battle against the pandemic”, quotes the company representative.
It is noted that the produced protective equipment will be transferred to the Hospital of Sant’Orsola Malpighi in Bologna, whose physicians are opposed to the coronavirus pandemic, writes the Federal News Agency. Another 200 pieces of other equipment a day will be made with 3D printers.

Also automobile concern FCA (Fiat Chrysler Аutomobiles) in the coming weeks intends to establish production of medical masks and at the same time produce at least 1 million of these medical devices per month.
