The number of patients who died from coronavirus in the state of New York in the U.S. for the first time since the end of March was less than 200. This was reported on Monday, May 11, The New York Times.
“Today, the spread of coronavirus in the state has reached a new stage,” said State Governor Andrew Cuomo.
He noted that 161 people have died from coronavirus in New York City in the last 24 hours – the lowest number of deaths since March 27, when there were 200 reported fatal cases.
According to Cuomo, from next weekend the state will again be allowed to operate some retail stores as well as industrial facilities.
