Leader of Little Big band Ilya Prusikin launched a flash mob called “Quarantinevision” in Instagram as an alternative to the canceled international music contest “Eurovision 2020”.
“Record the song, take a minute clip on your phone, and the country will know about you,” he said.
The singer suggested publishing the contest videos under the hashtag #карантиновидение2020, RIAMO specifies.
Prusikin urged potential entrants to be more courageous and not to be shy about making music videos on any topic they liked, the Federal News Agency reported.
Little Big was supposed to represent Russia in Rotterdam, but the contest was canceled due to the coronavirus distribution.
On May 16, the organizers of “Eurovision” will hold an online concert with the participation of performers from different countries, which will feature participants from 2020 and previous years.
The show is called Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light. The duration of the concert will be about two hours, you can watch the broadcast on the official Eurovision channel on YouTube.
The cancellation of “Eurovision” due to the coronavirus outbreak became known on March 18. Participants of the Russian music band Little Big supported the cancellation of the music contest due to the pandemic. Now it will be held in 2021 with the same participants who will have to write a new song. The band Little Big will probably participate from Russia.
