President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko instructed to respond without warning to violations of the republic’s borders. Thus the head of state responded to the information of the Defense Minister about the increased number of flights near the borders of the country.
“Without warning! If they violate the state border, we react without warning,” said Lukashenko on Saturday, August 22, during a visit to the range in Hrodna voblast.
In response, Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said that on Sunday the wind would blow towards Belarus. “If it happens so, we’ll act in accordance with the law,” said President of Belarus.
Earlier in the day, Lukashenko said that for the first time in a quarter of a century, he had to make the most serious decision, bringing the main forces of the army to full alert due to the activity of NATO troops near the country’s borders. He also complained that instead of dealing with the economy and internal affairs of the country, he had to pay attention to the stabilization of the external situation.
