MacGregor was detained in Corsica on a rape attempt complaint

Irish mixed-style fighter Conor McGregor, who recently declared his career over, was detained in Corsica for indecent behavior and attempted rape. This was reported in The Daily Mail on Saturday.

It is reported that the complaint against the athlete was received by the police on September 10. No other details are given. MacGregor denies the charges.

Meanwhile, the TMZ Sports website reports with reference to a representative of MacGregor that the athlete was released after talking to the police.

Macgregor had problems with the law before. In particular, in March 2019, he was detained for breaking a fan phone.

In 2018, McGregor was in the center of the scandal in connection with an attack on a bus, which contained several fighters, including Habib Nurmagomedov. As punishment, the Irishman was sentenced to community service, and was also required to take an anger management course.
