Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro admitted that he wants to go back to his job as a city bus driver. The fact is that he began his career as a politician with the transport workers’ union.
“I hope that one day, when I leave the job of president of the republic, I can return to these depots with my head held high, in my uniform, start the bus and take to the streets to serve the people of Venezuela as a worker,” Maduro said, meeting with transport workers.
Those, in their turn, rewarded the president in honor of the fact that Sunday marked exactly 30 years since he became a bus driver, VTV reported.
Nicolas Maduro became president of Venezuela in April 2013, succeeding Hugo Chavez, who had governed the country since 2002.
