Man with knife kills 3 and injures 6 people in German city of Würzburg

A man with a knife attacked passersby in the center of the German city of Würzburg. The attack took place on Barbarossaplatz, Germany. The Main Post reports the news on Friday, June 25, citing local police.

Video of the incident was published on social networks. The footage shows a barefoot man rushing at people with a large knife, while witnesses try to stop him.

According to the newspaper, as a result of the attack, three people were killed and six others were seriously injured. It is noted that there is no official confirmation of these figures yet.

In late May, a man attacked a police officer with a knife in the French town of La Chapelle-sur-Herd. After the attack, he fled, taking the officer’s service weapon. The woman was seriously injured. The victim was taken to the emergency room.

It was reported that shots were fired during his detention and the man was seriously injured. Emergency services tried to resuscitate him, but the man died of his injuries.
