A man with a knife attacked passersby in the center of the German city of Würzburg. The attack took place on Barbarossaplatz, Germany. The Main Post reports the news on Friday, June 25, citing local police.
Video of the incident was published on social networks. The footage shows a barefoot man rushing at people with a large knife, while witnesses try to stop him.
According to the newspaper, as a result of the attack, three people were killed and six others were seriously injured. It is noted that there is no official confirmation of these figures yet.
In turn, the Bavarian police reported in its official Twitter feed that the attacker had been detained by police. According to the law enforcement officials, the data on the second attacker have not been confirmed and there’s no threat to the population.
