McAfee creator who died in prison left a message in case he died

Found dead in a Spanish prison, the founder of the McAfee anti-virus software company John McAfee left a message in case of his death.

On October 15, 2020, the programmer wrote on his Twitter that he was satisfied with the conditions in prison and did not intend to commit suicide.

“I’m happy with everything here. I have friends. I am well fed. Know that if I hang myself like [Jeffrey] Epstein, it won’t be my fault,” McAfee warned.

On June 23, it became known that John McAfee was found dead in a Catalan prison in Spain. According to a preliminary version, he had committed suicide.

It happened a day after the court of the kingdom approved his extradition to the United States. U.S. authorities demanded the extradition of the businessman, in the States he is suspected of embezzling up to $4 million from the country’s treasury in 2016-2018.

McAfee was arrested last October at El Prat airport and has been in jail in Barcelona ever since. In addition to tax evasion, he has also been accused of intentionally failing to file tax returns.
