Mi-17 helicopter crashed in the Mexican state of Hidalgo shortly after takeoff

A Mi-17 transport helicopter of the Mexican Navy fell down shortly after takeoff in the state of Hidalgo. It was announced by the governor of the neighboring state of Veracruz Quitlahuac Garcia on his Twitter page on August 25.

The helicopter crashed in the area of Agua Blanca earlier on August 25 immediately after takeoff. As noted before the crash the pilot attempted to land, but lost control of the controls. For an unknown reason, the car began to lose altitude, swirled and fell and was damaged

The photos from the scene show the helicopter’s tail boom completely collapsed. Also the blades and fuselage were damaged.

There were 20 people aboard the helicopter, including authorities of the state of Veracruz and military officers. In particular, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Veracruz, Eric Cisneros, was on board. He was flying over inaccessible areas, writes NNS. Doctors assess his condition as stable, despite the fact that he, like the other three passengers, suffered minor injuries.
