Moody’s rating agency was fined for $4.3 million.

The Moody’s rating agency has been fined up to $4.3 mln in the EU. The reason was violation of rules on settlement of conflict of interests. This was announced by the European Securities and Markets Agency.

Also, the company assigned a rating to organizations in which the share of shareholders of the credit agency exceeds 10%. Moody’s units in five countries fell under the fines. The largest amount, $3.2 million, will be paid by the agency in Britain.
