On September 26 it became known that the experimental vaccine against COVID-19 by Johnson & Johnson (J&J) caused an immune response in most volunteers. The results confirmed J&J’s earlier decision to launch a larger, late stage study involving up to 60,000 people, which will provide enhanced evidence as to whether the vaccine protects people against COVID-19.
