More than 60 keyless dolphins were found ashore in southern Ghana, the Daily Graphic reported April 4.
According to the newspaper, more than 60 individuals of bottlenose dolphins were found on Axim Beach on Sunday.
However, it is reported that all of the dolphins are missing. It is speculated that they may have been taken by locals, as dolphin meat is an expensive product on the market.
In another area, the Volta, a large number of dead tuna were washed ashore on Sunday.
Chemical contamination of the waters and seismic-caused underwater sounds that scared the animals away may have been the presumed causes of the incident, the local environmental organization Friends of the Nation explained.
