The CEO of electric car manufacturer Tesla, Elon Musk, commented almost in Russian on the news that Russian Egor Kryuchkov had pleaded guilty to preparing a cyber attack.
The Teslarati portal published a news story about the Russian man on Twitter, under which Musk left a comment.
“Crime and punishment,” he wrote, replacing the Russian letter “i” with the Latin “i.”
The day before, it was reported that Yegor Kryuchkov pleaded guilty in court in the United States to attempting to organize a cyber attack on Tesla. Together with his accomplices he tried to hire a company employee to install malicious software in the company’s computer system. The attackers hoped that after that they could extort money from the company.
Musk stated that the target of the planned cyberattack was his Nevada-based electric-car company.
Egor Igorevich Kriuchkov pleaded guilty to counts of “conspiracy to intentionally cause damage to a protected computer.”
