New car sales in Europe fell by 78% in April

At the end of April 2020, 292,182 cars were sold in Europe, which is 78.3% less than a year ago. This was reported by the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers on Tuesday, May 19.

It is noted that due to the coronavirus pandemic in most European countries dealer centers were closed all last month, which led to the largest fall in sales in the history of the European car market.

In April 2020, the leader of new car sales in the European market was Germany, where 120 840 cars were sold, which is 61.1% less than a year ago.
