New York City will terminate all contracts with the Trump Organization, which is owned by the family of current U.S. President Donald Trump. This was announced by Mayor Bill de Blasio on Wednesday, January 13.

“The city of New York is severing all contracts with the Trump Organization. <...> If a company or its management is engaged in criminal activity, we have the right to terminate the contract,” Bloomberg quoted him as saying.

The issue is about the riots that took place on January 6 in Washington, which the authorities of the city regard as “incitement to rebellion against the government of the United States.

Trump Organization has contracts with New York City for $17 million.

The day before it was reported, the Association of Professional Golfers decided to refuse to hold the championship at the National Golf Club in Bedminster, which belongs to President Trump.
