799 people died in New York in the last 24 hours as a result of coronavirus infection. That’s a new state record for the number of victims of infection per day. This was reported by ABC News on Thursday, April 9, citing New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The day before, 779 people died in the state from the disease caused by coronavirus, the highest number in 24 hours at that time. According to the channel, the total number of victims of coronavirus in the state to date has exceeded 6 thousand people.
