The American from Beverly Hills, California, was delivered a pizza, which expired in late 2017. This was reported in the American edition of the Los Angeles Times.
The woman turned to the company, which delivers fresh products from the nearest supermarkets during the pandemic. Among other things, the 78-year-old American woman ordered frozen Pepperoni pizza for her four-year-old granddaughter. However, the product turned out to be unsuitable for food. The pizza was brown in color and had an unpleasant odor, and the box showed the expiration date until December 12, 2017.
Representatives of the supermarket acknowledged the incident and stated that they are making efforts to ensure the freshness of the food. The store called it an unusual situation when a product with an expired shelf life, let alone three years ago, gets into an order.
According to the experts, the situation is really strange and unusual. They assumed that the pizza could get lost in the warehouse, and then accidentally got on the shelves with other boxes.
