One of Europe’s most wanted criminals was arrested in Spain

The Spanish police have arrested one of Europe’s most wanted criminals, who has been on the run for over 20 years. This was reported in a report published on the website of the Spanish police on August 11.

In 1999 in Luxembourg, a detainee tried to rob the house of a 70-year-old woman, but the victim noticed the criminal and he killed her with a hammer to the head. To conceal the evidence, he doused the body with alcohol and set it on fire.

The man has since been on the wanted list. Some time ago it turned out that he had been hiding in Punta Umbria, in the Spanish province of Huelva, for several years. His detention was made possible by information provided by a Spanish citizen.

It is noted that the man was considered the most wanted criminal in Luxembourg and was on the list of the most wanted persons in Europe.
