OnwardMobility revives BlackBerry smartphones

Once the Canadian company RIM was one of the most successful smartphone manufacturers. Its BlackBerry has always had the highest level of service and unprecedented security. However, under pressure from iOS and Android Canadians stopped producing smartphones, and then sold them to Chinese TCL. And here’s the sudden news – BlackBerry smartphones will soon return.

There are no new BlackBerrys on the market for over two years. Today it became known that the legendary brand will try to revive the company OnwardMobility, known for creating mobile security systems for enterprises. Smartphones for it will be assembled at the factories of its subsidiary Foxconn.

So far, not much is known about the new BlackBerry model. The smartphone is expected to be released in the first half of 2021. The device will receive a hardware QWERTY keyboard, will be Android-based and work in 5G networks.
