The OPEC+ ministerial meeting scheduled for April, 6 has been postponed to April,9. This was announced to the Agency by Head of the Press Service of the Ministry of Energy, Advisor to the Minister of Azerbaijan Zamina Aliyeva.
“The meeting was rescheduled for April,9,” Aliyeva said.
She did not report on the reasons for the postponement.
Earlier, the media reported on the preparation of an unscheduled OPEC+ meeting at the initiative of Saudi Arabia. The meeting was to be held on April 6.
On April,3 Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the need to reduce oil production to 10m barrels per day. Saudi Arabia will go for a significant reduction in oil production if the US and Russia do the same.
