More than 60% of American voters approve of the work of U.S. President Joe Biden in his first days in office. This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by The Hill together with the company HarrisX.
The study found that at least 63% of respondents support Biden’s overall performance as U.S. president. At the same time among the Democrats surveyed 94% positively assess his performance, while 70% of Republicans do not like the work of the new American leader.
At the same time during the poll participants were asked to evaluate the work of the new head of the White House in certain aspects. For example, 60% of the voters approve of Biden’s international activities, and 69% approve of the measures against COVID-19. As for the economy, fighting terrorism and creating jobs, the poll participants expressed the same level of support for the president – 61%. Biden’s work on the migration issue garnered the least support from voters – 57%.
The poll was conducted online on January 21-22. There were 941 respondents.
On January 20, Biden signed several executive orders, including stopping construction of the wall on the border with Mexico, returning the United States to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Paris Climate Agreement.
