Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan has refused to give its military bases to the United States, which is withdrawing its contingent from Afghanistan, Geo News television channel reported.
Qureshi said the Pakistani side wants the peace process to move forward with the withdrawal, saying that “the world does not consider Pakistan part of the problem.”
The Pakistani government, he said, has no intention of providing U.S. military bases, which it has told all political parties.
Earlier it was reported that the U.S. had withdrawn a third of its forces from Afghanistan. It is specified that 30-44% of the withdrawal process has been completed. Thus, about 300 cargo planes with materials were evacuated and 13,000 pieces of equipment were handed over to the logistic agency of the Defense Ministry for disposal.
