Panamanian dry cargo ship sunk in southern Japan

A Panamanian-flagged cargo ship sank in southern Japan on Wednesday, January 13. No crew members were injured. It is reported by channel NHK.

According to the Japanese Coast Guard, the shipwreck occurred 870 kilometers south of Naha, Okinawa Prefecture. All 22 crew members are awaiting the arrival of the Japanese Maritime Safety Service in lifeboats.

The cause of the accident is not yet reported.
