The title of the section of the street in front of the White House had been changed in honour of the movement against racist police brutality. This was announced by Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser on Friday, June 5.
“The section of 16th Street in front of the White House is now officially called ‘Black Lives Matter Plaza,’ she wrote on Twitter.
She also published a video showing the moment when the new name of the road signage was installed
