Pashinyan’s motorcade was egged in Shurnukh village

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s motorcade was thrown with eggs in the village of Shurnukh, Syunik Region.

The villagers had been waiting for Pashinyan in the morning on the Kapan-Goris highway to ask questions. According to, the Prime Minister ignored the Shurnukh villagers who had been waiting for him for hours, for which his motorcade was attacked with eggs.

The footage was broadcast on regional television on April 21.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that residents of the town of Kapan, located in southern Armenia, met Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with protests.

Pashinyan arrived in the Syunik region of Armenia on a working visit the night before. Arriving in Kapan the PM entered the local administration building accompanied by a reinforced security. Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the square where the administration building is located.

In the morning of April 21, there were reports of a protest organized by residents of Agarak, Syunik region, where Pashinyan had previously arrived. Demonstrators demanded that the Prime Minister leave the city.

On April 14, Pashinyan announced that he would resign from his post in the last decade of April in order to hold early parliamentary elections.

Tensions in Armenia escalated again on February 25th when the Armenian Armed Forces (Armed Forces) issued a statement demanding Pashinyan’s resignation. Pashin saw this as a coup attempt, urging his supporters to take to the streets to protest and calling on Onik Gasparyan to step down as head of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces. The opposition took its anti-Pashinian supporters to the streets of Yerevan.
