The debris of the passenger Boeing engine fell in a residential area near Denver, the capital of Colorado. This was reported by TV channel Fox News on February 20.

The United Airlines airliner with 241 passengers on board was flying from Denver to Honolulu. During the flight, there was an engine failure, as a result of which the engine separated from the aircraft hull. Much of its wreckage fell in Commons Park and in residential neighborhoods in the Northmoor and Red Leaf neighborhoods in the Broomfield metropolitan area. According to the Broomfield Police Department, a large piece of the plane fell near an apartment building.

The aircraft was forced to return back to the Denver airport. None of the plane’s passengers or crew members were injured. The cause of the engine malfunction has not been determined
