Passenger ferry ran aground in Finland

Passenger ferry Amorella of Viking Line company ran aground in Finnish waters. This was reported on September 20 in the Russian Embassy in Helsinki.

The ship was going from Turku to Stockholm, when it ran aground near the Aland Islands in Finland. On board were 207 passengers and 74 crew members.

Among the passengers were 11 Russians. According to the Russian embassy, none of them were injured. “Consular workers and our consulate in the Ă…land Islands are in contact with them, we keep the situation under control,” – TASS quotes the diplomatic message.

The Russians are accommodated in a hotel, there are no victims of the incident.
