Passenger plane makes emergency landing in western Turkey after reports of a bomb

A Jazeera Airways passenger plane made an emergency landing at Trabzon Airport in western Turkey following reports of a bomb on board. It was reported by local TV on October 7.

Extensive security measures were taken at the airport, and firefighters and ambulances were on duty.

After the plane’s passengers were evacuated, bomb disposal teams began searching the aircraft.

“The plane was taken to a safe area and thoroughly searched. There were 51 passengers and six crew members on board. The airport is now open for flights. When the search is completed, the plane will continue to fly,” Hürriyet quoted Trabzon Governor Ismail Ustaoğlu as saying.
