Physician warns of health hazards of hot showers

Rekha Taylor, British cosmetologist, told about the dangers of hot showers for the body. On Friday, May 21, this was reported by the British edition of Express.

According to the beautician, bathing in hot water negatively affects the skin. In this regard, it is better to choose cool water to maintain the health of the skin, as well as reduce the time allotted for water procedures.

“Hot water causes damage to the keratin cells that are located on the outer layer of the skin, or epidermis,” Taylor says .

If a person bathes frequently in hot water, it can lead to dry skin and aggravate skin conditions such as eczema.

Dermatologist Sasha Dhoat supported her colleague and said that bathing time for people with problem skin should be limited to 5 to 10 minutes in the shower. She added that even for those who do not suffer from skin conditions, water procedures longer than 15 minutes should be avoided.
