In Switzerland, the pilots who lost their jobs because of the pandemic coronavirus, will be able to take train driving courses, reports Euronews Sunday, January 24.

The Aeropers Pilots Association said the two professions have a lot in common, and there is a shortage of train drivers in the country. Company spokesman Thomas Steffin hoped that Switzerland’s example would inspire other countries.

Carlos Spruengli, one of the first pilots to soon take on high-speed train lines in Switzerland, said the most important thing in the retraining process is overcoming hubris and the intention to keep working.
