Poland will buy four battalions of American Abrams tanks

Poland will buy American Abrams tanks. This was announced on Wednesday, July 14, by the head of the country’s ruling Law and Justice party, Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski.

“We have good news. Our army will soon, if all goes well, next year, get the newest version of Abrams tanks,” he said.

According to the politician, this version of the tanks is the newest coming into service in the United States. The machines are highly maneuverable and accurate.

At the same time Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak specified that the number of tanks will be 250, reports Polsatnews. The purchased tanks will be enough to create four battalions, he added.

Also on April 19, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said on his Twitter page that the European Command of the U.S. Armed Forces had moved several dozen F-15 and F-16 fighter jets into the country as part of military exercises. Blaszczak stressed that through joint exercises, the U.S. and Poland are strengthening the security of the European region.
