Polish company PGNiG stands for restoring cooperation with Gazprom

Relations with Russian Gazprom should be businesslike and should not have a political context, said Jerzy Kwieczynski, head of the Polish energy company PGNiG.

The completion of the 25-year contract for the transit of gas from Russia to Germany via Poland has not affected the supply of natural resources. Warsaw is in favour of restoring relations with Moscow without politics, said Kwieczynski.

Working with Gazprom is an important point for Poland. Now we are at the stage of constructive negotiations with our Russian partner, said the head of PGNiG.

After the termination of the transport contract with Russia on the Polish section of the pipeline “Yamal – Europe”, it will be possible to book the pipe capacity at auctions, in accordance with generally accepted European procedures.
