Pompeo had a conversation with one of the Taliban leaders

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during a conversation with a senior Taliban official pointed to the need to respect the agreement between Washington and the Taliban. The senior diplomat announced this on Tuesday, June 30.

As he wrote on his Twitter page, he called for no attacks on Americans. The head of the U.S. State Department had a telephone conversation with a representative of the Taliban the day before.

On June 27, The New York Times reported that Russia had allegedly offered the radical movement “Taliban” a reward for its opposition to the United States. The Washington Post then reported, citing sources, that several U.S. military personnel had been killed because of “collusion.
