Porsche has developed two new option packages for the 911 Turbo S, called Lightweight and Sport, which will make the coupe lighter and sportier.
After the premiere of the most powerful “nine hundred and eleven” generation 992, there were rumors that soon 911 Turbo S will be lighter and more athletic. Now this information was confirmed by the press secretary of the Porsche 911 family in the USA Frank Weisman: for the legendary German sports car developed a couple of new option packages under the names of Lightweight Package and Sport Package. The first one lightens the car up to 30 kilograms of curb weight with new bucket-shaped sports seats, no rear seats and reduced noise insulation.
The kit also includes a lightweight windscreen, sports exhaust system and PASM Sport suspension – these elements are also available separately from the Lightweight package. The lightweight Porsche 911 Turbo S will take the intermediate position between the standard model and the 911 GT3 track. The second package is dedicated to designing: the Sport Package includes new torches, wheels and blackened decorative elements. Unlike the Lightweight package, the Sport Package will also be available in a soft roof version, but the Sport Package will have a carbon-fiber roof.
