Prince Charles will pay $2.5 million for the safety of Harry and Megan in the United States

Prince Harry convinced his father, Prince Charles, to spend more than $2.5 million a year in the future on the safety of his family in the United States, the Daily Mail writes.

U.S. President Donald Trump insisted that Harry and his wife Megan pay for their own safety after moving to California.

– I am a great friend and admirer of the [British] Queen and Britain. It was reported that Harry and Megan, who had left the kingdom, would be permanently resident in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the US, but the US will not pay for their security. They have to pay! – tweeted by an American leader.

The couple insisted that ‘privately funded security measures be taken’. These arrangements are handled by Harry’s father, Prince Charles.

According to the newspaper, Charles has agreed to pay a “private contribution” to Megan and Harry. The exact amount of the expenses, as well as what they will be used for, is not yet known. It’s estimated that the total expenditure will be up to £4 million. Charles will contribute around £2 million (just under $2.5 million).

Prince Charles has an annual income of about $26 million
