Protective masks will be delivered to Europe from Wuhan in transit through Russia

The first train from the Chinese province of Wuhan after the restoration of rail traffic in the country will bring masks, auto parts, electronics and other goods in transit through Russia to Europe. This was reported with reference to the “United Transport and Logistics Company – Eurasian Railway Alliance” on Wednesday, April 1.

“The first train from the Chinese province of Wuhan since the outbreak of the epidemic COVID-19 marked the restoration of regular container service Wuhan – Duisburg to the direction China – Europe. The container train consisting of fifty 40-foot containers left Wuhan Province on March 28, 2020,” it was reported.

Containers were loaded on wide-gauge cars on Wednesday at Kazakhstan’s Dostyk station, located near the border with China. Now the train follows the territory of Kazakhstan and will continue to transit through Russia and Belarus along the basic route “OTLC – Eurasian Railway Alliance”. Arrival in Germany is expected on April 12.

The composition will deliver 166.4 tons of anti-epidemic protection, including 19 containers with medical masks. The train is also loaded with containers with auto parts, electronics, telecommunications fiber optics and consumables for railway repair.
