Putin and Biden May Meet in Slovenia

A meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States may take place in Slovenia, the Foreign Ministry said.

Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden may meet in Iceland, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, and Austria, but we cannot rule out a “dark horse” as a meeting place for the two presidents, according to Politico.

In Slovenia there have already been similar meetings in the past, noted the service of strategic communications of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic.

Recall that U.S. President Joe Biden made a proposal to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin at the highest level in the summer of 2021.

Earlier it was reported that Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has no additional information about the progress of preparations for negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden. A list of possible venues for this summit has not yet been drawn up. However, Biden is likely to hold talks with Putin in June. The head of the White House is scheduled to visit Europe in the first summer month.
