Putin signed a law on the government’s right to impose an emergency regime

April 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the right of the government to introduce an emergency situation regime. This is stated in the relevant document, which was published on the portal of legal information on Wednesday, April 1.

It is proposed to establish the right of the Cabinet of Ministers to exercise the powers of coordination body of the unified state system of prevention and elimination of such situations in case of threat or occurrence of certain emergency situations.

The law gives the government the right to introduce high alert or emergency situations throughout Russia or in its part. The Cabinet also gets the opportunity to establish binding rules of conduct for the introduction of high alert or emergency situations.
