British singer Rod Stewart admitted that alcohol helped him write successful hits, the Mirror wrote on July 25.

The 75-year-old musician said that when he started as a frontman for The Faces, the producers locked him in a hotel room with plenty of alcohol to “pour creative juice out of the musician’s river”.

At the same time, Stuart noted that he was worried about the thought that his lyrics might be trivial.

“It’s the worst feeling when you think you’re writing absolute nonsense,” he said.

Stuart became famous for his work with The Jeff Beck Group and then The Faces. However, the musician has been most successful in his solo career.

In January, police detained Stuart because of a conflict with a guard at a children’s party at the Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

According to The Mirror, the 74-year-old singer, along with his 39-year-old son Sean and a company that also had several children, attempted to participate in someone else’s private event at the resort’s children’s area. The guard repelled the attempt, after which Sean Stewart pushed him away and Rod Stewart hit the securiti in the chest.
