Romania has officially banned the spread of unpleasant odors. The law on olfactory, that is, olfactory discomfort, came into force in the country. For the smell of food in the stairwell, the hostess may be punished. The maximum penalty for individuals is €6.3 thousand, or more than half a million.

Violent companies are threatened with closure or a fine of €16.7 thousand. The control will be taken over by the Romanian Departments of Environmental Protection. The intensity of smells will be measured according to existing national and international standards.
