Russia signed the law on incarceration for quarantine violation

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law providing for imprisonment for violation of quarantine and sanitary and epidemiological rules, reports TASS.

The law provides that the violation of the infected, resulting in a mass disease by negligence, will be punished with a fine of up to 1 million rubles ($ 12670.00) , or imprisonment for up to 3 years.

If such a violation resulted in the death of a person by negligence, or was deliberate, the penalty will be up to 2 million rubles($25340.00) , while imprisonment – up to 5 years.

If it resulted in the death of two or more persons, up to 7 years’ deprivation of liberty.
