Russia stands ready to cooperate with the US in the peaceful exploration of space

Russia is ready to cooperate with the United States in the peaceful exploration of outer space. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday, April 14.

Thus, the Russian Foreign Minister reacted to the decree on commercial production of the Moon’s resources, approved by U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to Lavrov, Russia welcomes the U.S. leader’s approach to providing international support for the development of the Moon.

Lavrov also noted that Russia is open to talks with U.S. partners on hypersonic weapons.

The Russian minister also said he intends to hold telephone conversations with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in the near future.

On April 7, the U.S. leader signed a decree considering economic prospects for research of the Earth satellite and other space bodies.
