Sarah Jessica Parker revealed whether they’re looking to replace Kim Cattrall in the sequel to “Sex and the City”

A few days ago, the stars of the series – Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis – showed on social media the first teaser of the new season, which is called And Just Like That, although it is a direct continuation of “Sex and the City”. Alas, the new episodes will not feature Kim Catroll’s character: the performer of the role of Samantha Jones decided a few years ago to say goodbye to the project forever.

Reporters recently spotted Parker outside of her shoe store in New York City and asked her the question many people were asking: Is there a replacement for Catherall right now? The answer came back in the negative.

“We’re not going to introduce a fourth character,” the 55-year-old actress stated. – We have New York as a great character. There are going to be a lot of interesting new characters that we’re excited about.”

Parker previously noted that filming for the series has yet to begin and that the COVID-19 vaccine “plays a big part in that.” The star also admitted in response to an Instagram comment that she will miss Catroll, which once again refuted rumors of animosity with her ex-colleague. Kim herself has not yet commented on the continuation of the series, but recently explained why she gave up her iconic role. Fans of the actress also noticed that she tweeted a post about putting herself first.
